Pendidikan Fisika
The Physics Education Study Program at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta was established in 2001 by Dr. H. Husni Rahim through the Establishment Decree No. E/47A/2001, dated March 20, 2001. Although it had obtained an operational permit in the same year, this study program only started accepting students in 2003. Since its establishment, this study program has undergone several important changes that have improved its quality and reputation.
Initially, this study program was named the Physics Education Study Program and was under the Department of Natural Science Education. However, in 2013, there was a change in the nomenclature of the study program at the Directorate of Islamic Higher Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, which required a change in the name of the study program from Physics Education to Physics Education. This change was made to strengthen the identity of the study program and clarify the focus of the education provided.
The development of the Physics Education Study Program is increasingly promising with the acquisition of accreditation from LAMDIK in 2023 with a Very Good rating.

Let me introduce myself, I am Hilda Wardah Hafidz, usually called Sayang. Oh, wrong, I mean usually called hilda. I am a 5th semester student in Physics Education, Faculty of Islamic Education and Teaching, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. *jrengg jrengg jrengg jrengg* suddenly a scary musical instrument comes out when reading physics education. Oh, relax guys, physics isn't that scary. Here I will share a little story about me and of a course about physics education. Hopefully it's useful!
Physics Education . Surely the first mindset that comes out of your mind is a bunch of formulas and killer teacher faces, right? Oh, don't be mistaken guys, in physics education, you don't just learn formulas, here you also learn about natural phenomena. What you often see such as electronic devices, residences or other buildings, accidents that often occur, even medical equipment in hospitals can be completely explained by physics. Surely you are curious, what are the things that are studied that can be that complex? Come on, let's continue reading~
Subjects studied . This physics education in addition to studying educational subjects such as strategies in class during teaching and learning activities, fun teaching methods, very helpful learning media and so on. In the physics course, you learn basic physics, electronics, thermodynamics, electromagnetics, mathematical physics, and many more. At the turn of the 4th to 5th semester, you can choose, whether you want to take a control system course which emphasizes hardware or software which emphasizes programming. And of course there are also many practicums here.
The most memorable . Oh my, if asked the most memorable, all physics education courses are very memorable. But according to Hilda, so far in this 5th semester, the most memorable in my heart and mind *caile takes it to heart* is the physics and electronics learning strategy. Why is it so memorable for Hilda? Just imagine guys, the general public has labeled physics as difficult, to the point that our little siblings have assumed negatively about physics. In the physics learning strategy, we are asked to make the class during the teaching and learning process fun. There we are asked to really think hard, how to design the classroom seating, what method to use so that it is fun but the knowledge is obtained, how to attract students so that their loyalty grows by itself, how to make the children shout" Yaaaahhh" when we say the end of this subject. Wow, that's a real dare for me, a future educator of the nation's generation!
In addition, there are electronics. Why is it so impressive? Here we also learn to assemble. Until yesterday, the electronics practical exam. Hilda's group made a way to turn on house lights and garden lights by learning only by using Bluetooth and saying "turn on the house lights" "turn off the house lights". We O We are so cool, besides that, Hilda's friends made robot cars that walk according to the lines we made, some made miniature red lights. Wow, there are so many, guaranteed to be addictive! Just imagine again, if your house uses something like that. Wow, your grandmother doesn't have to tire herself out walking, just speak on the cellphone's Bluetooth "turn on the lights".
Frequently given assignments . Actually, it goes without saying, it's definitely a lab report for science students. Yuhuu~ but don't take it lightly, if we take the positive side by often making lab reports, we automatically read books or journals for theoretical basis, right? So later when compiling the thesis, little by little you'll get used to it, right~ And then, the most memorable for Hilda. We got an assignment to make learning media, where we made learning media to attract students' interest in physics. Yes, a small example, a ruler rubbed on wool can attract pieces of paper. For students who don't know yet, they must call it magic. Very Funny! Oh yeah, at that time we also observed at the West Java hydroelectric power plant, of course this is related to the thermodynamics course. So, it has been proven that physics education is not only about formulas. But we learn many things. Anyway, physics education is different from pure physics or physics engineering. Where in this physics education, guys, we emphasize more concentration on education. Precisely for our little brothers and sisters at school, the generation of the nation. Yuhuu~
Job prospects . Surely you immediately guessed that all of this will end up becoming a teacher? That's right! Don't underestimate it, teachers are unsung heroes. To become a doctor, police officer, soldier, designer or minister, of course they all went to school, right? There is always a teacher's education tucked away, because without a teacher you are nothing tsahh~ And then, not only becoming a teacher if you continue to S2 and take pure physics or engineering physics, take S3 you can become a professor. Just for information guys, abroad physics is very much used. Why? Because to make sturdy buildings, make electronics, medical equipment in hospitals especially in radiology, basically for the sophistication that exists in this era of globalization, it is very much needed. But of course this is for those who continue to the next level. Don't be pessimistic, for those who do not continue to the next level. Abroad and domestically, physics educators are also highly sought after. Abroad, precisely in countries where education is number one, educators are highly valued, even comparable to medical personnel. A little leak guys, the reason physics subject teachers are so sought after is because it is the most difficult subject for the general public, especially in international schools. The opportunities in civil servants are also very large. So what are you waiting for guys! Don't be afraid of physics and be a fun teacher for this nation's generation!
